Le Chantilly began in the early 1950s as a bakery on Baghdad Street in El Korba and was taken over by the Swiss Egyptian Restaurants Corporation, founded in 1976, which also runs Le Chalet and Le Chesa. The dining room keeps its vintage furniture and European feel, serving Swiss dishes such as fondue and homemade sausage alongside a bakery counter.
