El Dammah Theatre is affiliated with the El Mastaba Center for Egyptian Folk Music. The El Mastaba Center for Egyptian Folk Music is one of the unique civil society organizations. It was founded in 2000 by Zakaria Ibrahim with the aim of reviving Egypt’s heritage of theatrical arts. El Mastaba Center aims not only to revive and document this heritage but also to develop traditional music in Egypt and activate its role in the daily life and imagination of the Egyptian people.
