Photos|| Agriculture Ministry Disinfects the Radio Building in El-Shorbagy to Prevent Coronavirus

The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation disinfected the historic radio building on El-Shorbagy Street in downtown Cairo. This historic building witnessed some of Egypt’s most important historical events. Today, the Cairo Veterinary Medicine Directorate disinfected the entire building, including its corridors, studios, and offices, following coordination between El-Sayed El-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Hussein Zein, Chairman of the National Media Authority. This comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to disinfect public facilities to prevent coronavirus.

Following the directives of El-Sayed El-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the authority disinfected the Maspero building to prevent coronavirus.

Hussein Zein, Chairman of the National Media Authority, thanked the Minister of Agriculture, saying that the disinfection process began on the 28th floor and took more than ten hours. It included disinfecting the entrances and exits of the huge building, all radio and television studios, departments and offices, employee gathering areas, medical clinics, elevators, and main corridors, in addition to the offices of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation.

It is worth noting that, at its most recent meeting, the Cabinet thanked the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation for its role in disinfecting government institutions and public facilities against coronavirus. The Minister of Agriculture also received a letter of thanks from Osama Heikal, Minister of Information, for the ministry’s role in disinfecting media institutions. The ministry had previously disinfected Media Production City in its entirety, including approximately 70 studios, as well as the Ministry of State for Information building, the Maspero building, and the Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar, Middle East News Agency, Rose al-Youssef, and other press institutions, in addition to more than 9 thousand government facilities.

This comes as part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to disinfect government facilities free of charge to prevent coronavirus.
