The Grand Egyptian Museum opened on the Giza Plateau on 1 November 2025, designed by Heneghan Peng Architects on a site spanning more than 500,000 square metres. UNESCO describes it as the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, with around 100,000 artifacts on display. It is the first venue to show the complete Tutankhamun collection together since Howard Carter's 1922 discovery.
