Dahab Hostel occupies the rooftop of a building on Mahmoud Bassiouny Street, just off Talaat Harb Square in Downtown Cairo. Converted from a hotel in 2005, it recreates the whitewashed-hut feel of a Sinai beach camp on an urban rooftop, decorated with murals, and has been a fixture of Cairo's backpacker circuit for years.
