Cairo Festival City Mall opened in November 2013 as the retail anchor of Al-Futtaim's Cairo Festival City development in New Cairo, immediately becoming the district's largest shopping centre. It holds Egypt's first IKEA store alongside more than 300 shops, a 20-screen cinema, KidZania and an open-air dining strip known as The Village.
