Downtown Katameya is an open-air retail development in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement built around a pedestrian street and a small lake, with roughly 34,000 square metres of retail space alongside separate office buildings. Its layout deliberately echoes an old downtown Cairo street front, reworked as a low-rise, family-oriented shopping strip with a multiplex cinema.
