This apartment museum near Cavafy Street preserves part of the home of Greek poet Constantine P. Cavafy, who spent most of his life in Alexandria until his death in 1933. It was established in 1992, building on an earlier memorial set up in 1977 at the Greek consulate, and holds his manuscripts, personal belongings and translations of his poetry into some 20 languages.
