Founded in 1892 and inaugurated in 1895, this museum in the Attarin district holds tens of thousands of objects from Alexandria's Greek, Roman and Ptolemaic past, including sculpture, mosaics and coins across 27 halls. It closed for restoration in 2005 and reopened to the public in October 2023.
