About
The Armenian Catholic Cathedral of the Annunciation, on Mohamed Sabri Abou Alam Street in downtown Cairo, opened in 1926 and was designed by architect Garo Balian, also known for the art deco Yacoubian Building. It serves as the seat of the Armenian Catholic Eparchy of Alexandria, a diocese created in 1885 by Pope Leo XIII.
