Built between 1899 and 1929 by Prince Mohamed Ali Tewfik -- a grandson of Khedive Ismail, not dynasty founder Muhammad Ali Pasha -- the Manial Palace on Rhoda Island mixes Ottoman, Persian, Moorish, and Art Nouveau design across several pavilions. It displays the prince's furniture, manuscripts, and art collection, plus a separate Hunting Museum; both reopened after restorations completed in 2015 and 2017.
