About
Housed in the Neo-Ottoman Prince Amr Ibrahim Palace at Zamalek's Gezira Art Centre, completed in 1921, the museum has displayed Islamic pottery since 1998. Its collection spans Umayyad, Fatimid, Mamluk, Ottoman Iznik, and Spanish ceramics, tracing how Islamic potters absorbed Byzantine, Sasanian, and Chinese techniques.
