The Children's Civilization and Creativity Center, known as the Child Museum, was established in Heliopolis in 1986. Its 4,000 square metres of galleries sit in a landscaped park of about 14 feddans, combining interactive exhibits with hands-on activities exploring history, science and culture. It has been renovated twice, in 1996 and 2012.
